Studies have been showing that the most successful businesses online are those that are the middle man.  Meaning that websites that provide that resell services for other, mostly larger websites are the ones who profit the most.  Businesses like HOSTING, PRINTING, WEBDESIGN, TICKETS, TRAVEL and so forth usually have a carrier or company that they sign up to for discounted rates.

These discounts create a great markup for anyone who just wants to make a quick buck.  Think about it, if you make $10 off each print order and all you did was basically forward the order to the actual printer and they did all the work, you made a 100% turn-around.  If you did that 100 times a day you made $1000 for that day simply forwarding jobs to the people who will do the real work.

Another example of this are ONLINE BLOGS.  This is a perfect example of being the middle man.  You get news from a news source.  You basically rewrite that news to your liking and link to the news source.  You get a good following you now are making money off of advertising.
